This latest STIR CRAZY is one I’m very excited to share, albeit a little late. The past week brought to mind two of America’s great poets: the 25th marked the tragic death of Frank O’Hara & the 28th, the birth of his good friend John Ashbery. HERE is a haunting poem from O’Hara, which seems to prophesy his death on Fire Island (& which may be written posthumously by friend & poet Kenneth Koch). ANOTHER O’HARA POEM, written to his friend Ashes in 1954.
